These records consist of two subseries. Subseries one, 1872-1903, contains certificates filled out by the clerk of the court declaring the applicant's intention of becoming a citizen and renouncing foreign allegiance. No personal data is entered. In subseries two, 1906-1954, the form contains information regarding the applicant's age, occupation, a personal description, the place and date of birth, the place and date of arrival, and the oath of allegiance.
